Menu Design Options
Pick and choose which options, and their amounts from the selections below. Then total your costs, add them to any previous costs, and continue on to Step 4.) DVD Creation Options.
Minimal Choice is "Single-Menu" design.
Custom Pictures Content
You can add your pictures to the your DVD's (novel concept ain't it!). You can place them in your menus, use them as your background, as selectable icons, whatever you can think of. Use pictures from your computer, developed photos, freeze-frames from your movies, or clip art you've found. Any pictures you add can be used throughout your entire project as often as you'd like, with only this one time fee. So as not to stifle your creativity by making you fret over the cost of each picture, I sell pictures as bundles. They are:
$0 Template Menus Pictures, use as many as you'd like
$1 For 1 Picture (in case thats all you want for a simple menu)
$3 First 5 pictures -OR-
$5 For Every 10 Pictures (recomended for that personal touch)
*NOTE* Pictures can be used in Menus as well as Disc Label and Case Covers. Scene Selection menus do not count towards your picture package, unless used outside of the scene selection menu.
Custom Background Music
For every menu, you can add your own music to the background! Just bring me the music or a CD. I Can also Extract a song clip from a segment of your movie, if you give me the start and end time, no additional cost. Just as with Custom Pictures, this is a one time initial fee, and after that you can use these music clips as often as you'd like in your project, across as many different DVD's as you'd like.
*NOTE*Please note, excessive amounts of music, or music with excessive length may take up too much room on the DVD, and will either not be usable, or will require the quality of the actual movies to be lowered (your choice). Try to keep total music time to under 5 minutes per DVD where possible.
Number Of Menus
Besides your Main Menu (and Scene Menus, see below), your average DVD doesn't require more than a single menu. But, that doesn't mean you have to go bare-bones! Perhaps you've split your video into multiple movies, or you have recorded TV episodes where you want each to have its own menu. Maybe you want extra menus that list nothing but extra detailed information. Whatever your desire, you can always add more menus!
$1 Single Menu (using either a Template, or an already-paid Custom Pictures) -OR-
$2 Up to 3 Menus (using either a Template, or an already-paid Custom Pictures) -OR-
$6 Every 10 Menus (Using Template or already-paid Custom Pictures)
*NOTE* This does not include Scene Menus, which are different.
Scene Selection Menus
All Movie DVD's have them. Scene Selection, which gives you thumbnail previews of every chapter, so you can jump ahead to any part, or so you can pick up where you left off. These are GREAT for those home movies, where the setting and date change so often and so randomly. Using a Scene menu, you can jump to any chapter point you'd like. Scene Menus come with 6 scenes per menu, and you can include a short title underneath each one, and a large main title for the whole menu. Like normal menus, you can add your own background pictures and music (if its already been paid for). However, there won't be room for much else besides a Title.
*NOTE* Scene Selection uses Chapter Points, which are normally every 5 minutes, unless specifically chosen by you. The start of the movie counts as the first chapter point. Scene Thumbnails are pictures of the starting point of the chapter, choosing your own thumbnail pictures requires a "design fee"
Motion Menus
What is a motion menu you ask? Motion menus allow you to take clips (such as thumbnails) from your movies, and have them playing in your menus. This is extremely popular in scene selections, because instead of showing a still thumbnail of the scene, it will show 30s of each scene. But you can also use it in any menu. Many of the template menus have blank areas designed to put pictures in them, and work very well for motion pictures.
*NOTE* This is not Switched Menus, which is motion-like, See Below. Small Discounts Available for Motion Menu Heavy projects such as the Menu Template "Gallery Viewer". Call for details/specifics
Switched Menus
Even more confusing, and more impressive, than Motion Menus. Basically, a switched menu makes it so when you scroll through choices in a menu, it will automatically go (or "switch") to a different menu, without having to hit Enter and choose one. Why would you use this you ask? Because you can make multiple similiar versions of the same menu, with each being slightly different, so everytime you scroll over a choice, the menu's appearance will change slightly. Giving the your menu the appearance that its giving active information about each option. This is best used when you want an area dedicated to additional details, or movie clips, and everytime you scroll over a menu choice, this area will change to reflect information about that choice. It also works superbly with the "Book" Menu Template design, where selecting different books bring them to the front of the menu, as if browsing a bookshelf. Switched Menus are very advanced options. Call For Pricing. Prices Vary on the complexity of the design. General price range is usually $1 or below per Menu in a switched menu, but can be cheaper with simplier ideas. Switched Menus usually require a "
Design Fee"
